Harmony Seymour was born in Kamloops,British Columbia,Canada and lives on the Shuswap Nation land located beside the Thompson Rivers. She is a full member of the Tk'emlups tribe. Harmony is the 3rd generation of beaders and is now in her 10th year of creating her own work.
It was during her senior years in high school that Harmony became intrigued with her family's artistic heritage. Under the tutelage of her mother, Harmony began to explore the distinct culture of Shuswap bead work. It wasn't very long before she was selling her work throughout the interior of BC.
Quality is very important to Harmony. Each bead is hand selected to ensure its integrity. Each piece, in turn, is beaded in traditional designs that have been in her family for generations. Every piece is checked and rechecked for quality control. " Every piece is the best that I can make it, if not I'll redo it."
